O-Visa
O-1 Visa
An O-1 Visa may be issued to a foreign national who has extraordinary ability in the sciences, arts, education, business, or athletics. This ability must have been demonstrated by sustained national or international acclaim. If the application is in regards to motion picture and television productions, there must be demonstrated a record of extraordinary achievement, and the achievements must have been recognized in the field through extensive documentation. The applicant must seek to enter the United States to continue work in the area of extraordinary ability.
O-2 Visa
An O-2 Visa allows temporary admission of persons to the United States solely for the purpose of accompanying and assisting in the artistic or athletic performance by an O-1 visa holder. This person can be admitted for a specific event or events, he/she must be an integral part of such actual performance, and he/she must have a foreign residence with no intention of abandoning it. The O-2 applicant must also have critical skills and experience with the O-1 visa holder which are not of a general nature and which cannot be performed by other individuals or in the case of a motion picture or television production, the O-2 applicant must have skills and experience with the O-1 alien which are not of a general nature and which are critical either based on a pre-existing longstanding working relationship or, in the case of a specific production, because significant pre- and/or post-production work will take place both inside and outside the United States and the continuing participation of the O-2 applicant is essential to the successful completion of the production.
O-3 Visa
An O-3 Visa is allowed to the spouse or child of an applicant holding an O-1or O-2 visa if accompanying or following to join.
